Former NBA guard Darius Morris, who played for the Los Angeles Lakers and four other teams during his NBA career, has died. Morris' family confirmed his death on Tuesday, but the cause of his death has not yet been released.
Morris played one season with the Nets and appeared in 33 games for Brooklyn. He started his NBA career with Los Angeles, where he played in 41 games during the 2011-12 season. He also had stints with the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Memphis Grizzlies.
A native of Los Angeles, Morris attended Michigan before being drafted by the Lakers with the 41st overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. He played his college basketball for the Wolverines from 2008 to 2011 and was a key contributor to Michigan's 2011 Big Ten Tournament championship team.
