Swakopmund to Terrace Bay
Day 4 saw the riders tackle the cold, misty shoreline of the Namibian coast, battling with strong winds and treacherous sand.
After a chilly morning awakening, the riders departed Swakopmund and embarked on a journey along the beach towards Terrace Bay. With reduced tire pressure to navigate the challenging dunes, the riders encountered deep, loose sand and relentless winds.
The cold and damp conditions tested the riders' endurance, but the camaraderie and support amongst the teams prevailed. The rugged, desolate landscape offered a unique backdrop for the competition, with the towering dunes creating a surreal and challenging environment.
The stage called for exceptional navigation skills as the riders relied on their roadbooks and GPS devices to navigate the unmarked terrain. Teamwork was crucial as the riders worked together to overcome obstacles and maintain their direction. By day's end, the riders had successfully completed the coastal leg of the rally, arriving at Terrace Bay.
