Cole Palmer Man City Contract

Chelsea Complete £40m Signing of Cole Palmer

Sub-headline: England U-21 Star Makes Move From Manchester City

Deal Marks Latest in Chelsea's Summer Spending Spree

Chelsea have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Cole Palmer from Manchester City for an initial fee of £40 million.

The England Under-21 forward, who has impressed with his performances for City's youth teams, has penned a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer's arrival marks the latest in Chelsea's extensive spending this summer, which has already seen the club sign Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Marc Cucurella.

Chelsea's new owner, Todd Boehly, has backed manager Thomas Tuchel's ambitious plans to rebuild the squad and challenge for major trophies.

Palmer is expected to provide competition for places in Chelsea's attack, which also includes Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, and Hakim Ziyech.

The 21-year-old is a versatile attacker who can play on either wing or as a central striker. He has been capped three times by England at Under-21 level.

Chelsea fans will be hoping that Palmer can make a similar impact to some of the club's previous signings from Manchester City, such as Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.
